How do I file for emergency custody?
Our office does not keep forms, instructions, or information on filing for emergency custody. You may search the Supreme Court website for applicable forms for your situation. We advise you to consult an attorney, or review the  Legal Resources  tab if you do not wish to hire an attorney. 

What is the cost to file for custody/parenting time?
$154.00 payable by check, money order, or exact cash to the Clerk of the District Court, plus any applicable service fees to the appropriate Sheriff's department. This filing fee will increase to $209.00 on 07/01/2026 per Neb. Leg. LB 935
